$2M extra OK’d for Sewer South

In relative routine fashion, a state funding authority has just voted to add $2.1 million to the fund to help pay for Sewer South Phase Two — the long talked about project to run a line from the Golden Corner Commerce Park to I-85.  In a separate action the board of Rural Infrastructure Authority approved $100 thousand to allow the Oconee Joint Regional Sewer Authority to study whether its current structure, as the RIA’s Bonnie Ammons put it, “is the best fit for serving all of Oconee County today and into the future.”
