15-year prison term announced at Oconee court

Failing to stop for blue light and trafficking in methamphetamine charges against Christopher Lee O’Donald were resolved this week in the Oconee General Sessions Court.  According to Jason Alderman, a sentence of 15 years in prison was handed down to O’Donald, who also faces an untried case of attempted murder of an Oconee sheriff’s officer during a chase that reached into Pickens County.  O’Donald was arrested by the U-S Marshals Service and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division in July 2021 in Hampton County.
