15 times he called about deteriorating pavement

An Oconee County councilman said he called the state at least 15 times about a section of highway 59 that has been breaking apart in the Crossroads community south of Seneca.  Julian Davis, the councilman, estimates that one and one-half feet of asphalt laid down two years ago is missing and that, he says, creates a public safety issue.  Davis, the District Four councilman, spoke to 101.7/WGOG NEWS in an interview last week that touched on transportation issues impacting I-85 and other parts of southern Oconee.
