104 new jobs to be created at Toccoa, Georgia

A subsidiary of a Korea-based company plans to invest $37 million in a new facility at Toccoa, Georgia and create 104 jobs.  Lithium-ion battery recycler and raw materials provider SungEl Recyling HiTech Company.  The factory is to locate at the Haystone Brady Business Park.  The issue of whether Oconee’s Joint Regional Sewer Authority could accommodate an employer in the ion business was addressed this week by JRSA executive director Chris Eleazer, in comments at the Oconee County Council meeting.   With a base in Stephens County, the plant will be close to SK Battery America in Commerce, Georgia – another South Korean company.
