Zoning change could lead to senior citizen homes

A Texas man who owns property near the 123 ByPass will ask Seneca for a zoning change next week that could allow for a senior citizen home complex. The city planning commission will hold a hearing during its 6 o’clock meeting Monday night to take up Charles Theivagt’s request to rezone his property from highway commercial to RM-16. One of the permitted uses in RM-16 would allow for multi-family housing, but Seneca’s Ed Halbig says that’s only one of the uses to which the property could be used. The property location is Short Street and Mountain View Drive, behind Premier Car Wash.
