Young West Union man hurt in wreck

An 18-year old West Union man received a helicopter trip to a Greenville hospital after a one-car accident shortly after 4 o’clock yesterday afternoon near Seneca.  A spokesman for the state patrol withheld the name of the driver.  Public safety officials described the accident as having occurred on the Mauldin Mill Road at or near Radio Station Road.  The patrol’s Joe Hovis said a 2010 Toyota went off the right side of the two-lane road, overcorrected, and overturned several times.  The driver was ejected from the car.  Oconee EMS responded and a landing zone was established in the parking lot of the nearby Seneca High School.
