Young Seneca man faces multiple charges

After being arrested on Thursday night last week, a 19-year old Seneca man faces charges in traffic and sex crime investigations.  According to the Oconee Sheriff’s Office, Dominick Vincent Falsitta was charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor second degree, kidnapping, reckless driving, assault and battery third degree, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.  The criminal sexual conduct victim was described by the sheriff’s office as an underage teenager.  The sheriff’s office gave this account of the circumstances leading to Falsitta’s arrest:  “On October 30th, the Seneca Police Department responded to a business on the Highway 123 by-pass in Seneca in regards to a welfare check.  When officers arrived on scene, they made contact with Falsitta and the teenager.  The teenager was turned over to the Department of Social Services, where it was later determined she tested positive for Methamphetamine.  Falsitta was arrested by the Seneca Police Department on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine and Simple Possession of Marijuana.  The charges of Kidnapping, Reckless Driving and Assault and Battery – 3rd Degree result from a November 7th incident on Keowee School Road and Stamp Creek Landing Road.  According to evidence obtained by investigators, Falsitta ran a vehicle, in which the teenager was a passenger, off the roadway and made threats, unless the teenager got into his vehicle.  The teenager got into his vehicle and they left the scene.  The teenager was being driven to the hospital due to injuries sustained as the result of an assault by Falsitta, which occurred on Highway 183 at Highway 11, according to the arrest warrant.  The victim, who was originally listed as missing from another Upstate county, is in a safe location.”
