Yes and not sure on whether there will be Christmas parades

COVID-19 has caused cancellation of this year’s annual tree lighting in Fair Play.  Which begs the question of whether the need to avoid crowds will be sufficient reason to call off community and municipal Christmas parades.  Fair Play’s Hope Parker, in the Fair-Town Times, writes, “I hope the Fair Play Christmas Parade will take place on Saturday, December 12 at 1 PM, BUT they are still discussing the event at the Fair Play Fire Department.”  According to Salem Town Hall, that town’s annual parade will take place on schedule the first Sunday in December.  Scott Moulder, city administrator in Seneca, says, “Christmas parade is still a go.” But there’s uncertainty about other parades, including Walhalla.  Brent Taylor, city administrator, says, (Walhalla) hasn’t made a decision yet.  We will be looking for guidance from the state.”
