Working capital loans from government

The U-S Small Business Administration reminds small businesses, small agriculture cooperatives, small businesses engaged in aquaculture and most non-profit organizations that July 22 is the filing deadline for federal working capital loans for losses due to drought that began November 14, 2023.  The declaration covers several counties in Georgia, Tennessee, and the Carolinas, including Oconee, Pickens, Greenville, Spartanburg, Cherokee and York in South Carolina.  The loan amounts can be up to $2 million with interest rates of 4% for small businesses and 3.25% for private non-profit organizations, with terms of up to 30 years.  Online applications and additional info are available at SBA.gov/disaster.
