Woody Sanders
Seneca– Woodrow “Woody” Marion Sanders, 82, of 563 Strawberry Farm Road, passed away Thursday, December 16th, 2021 at Prisma Health Oconee Memorial Hospital.
Born in Oconee County, Woody was the son of the late Woodrow Singleton Sanders and Margie Janes Butts Sanders. Woody was the owner of Sanders Roofing, an avid outdoorsman, and was of the Christian Faith.
Woody is survived by a son, Tracy Sanders and wife Crystal of Westminster; daughter, Lisa Sanders of Seneca; sisters, Nancy Owens and husband Marvin of Walhalla, Phyllis O’Dell and husband Ralph of Walhalla, and Deborah Sanders of Walhalla; four grandchildren, Jennifer Younger, Chris Hardwick and wife Emily, Claudia Alexandra Sanders and Nickolas Randal Sanders; five great-grandchildren, Emma Younger, James Christopher Hardwick, Frances Younger, Eliana Hardwick, and Joanna Kate Hardwick.
In addition to his parents, Woody is predeceased by his brother, Robert “Bobby” Wayne Sanders Sr.
A memorial service will be held at a later date by the family.
