Women’s Equality Day right around the corner

Women’s Equality Day is around the corner, and the League of Women Voters of the Clemson Area invites everyone to their annual celebration. This year’s drop-in will commemorate the 19th amendment to the Constitution which, in 1920, gave women the right to vote. The celebration will be from 6 to 8 o’clock Tuesday night, August 21 at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute on Thomas Green Boulevard in Clemson. The League of Women Voters is a non-partisan political organization that encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
