Woman’s injuries consistent with fall or falls

An autopsy showed bruises and abrasions on the body a 37-year old Walhalla area woman. But both the coroner and the sheriff’s office have determined there were no signs of foul play in the death of April Norton Jones. Coroner Karl Addis says the bruises and abrasions were consistent with a fall or multiple falls. Jones’s body was found by her husband around the midnight hour yesterday inside a shop building on their Rock Crusher Road property. Addis says she did not sustain or have any fatal blunt force injuries. But the death investigation will rely on toxicology analysis before a final cause and manner of death is determined.
