WILLIE FAYE HARE

Westminster – Willie Faye Suttles Hare, 92, wife of the late William Jefferson Hare, Jr., passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at her residence.

 

Born in Oconee County, South Carolina, Willie Faye was the daughter of the late William Matheson and Flossie Mae Belle Holbrooks Suttles. Willie Faye formerly worked with Jantzen and was a loving and devoted homemaker. For many years, Willie Faye was a greeter and custodian at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church; where she was a dedicated member.  She also was an avid gardener who enjoyed giving away her flowers to family and friends and she took great pride and love in tending to her vegetable garden. 

 

Willie Faye is survived by her son, Edward Hare; daughter, Teresa Spearman (Keith); brother, Odis Suttles; sisters, Bonnie Freeman, Margaret Spencer, and Dovie Little; 1 grandchild, Kristine Hare Jackson (Craig); and 3 great-grandchildren, Christopher Jackson, Kaley Jackson, and Addison Jackson.

 

In addition to her husband and parents, Willie Faye is preceded in death by her brothers, J.D. Suttles, Julian Suttles, Truman Suttles, Alvin Suttles, Earl Suttles; and her sisters, Molly Gilliam, Sarah Butts, Ruth Watkins, Guynelle Poole, and Ollie Mae Long.

 

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, February 5, 2024, at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Oconee Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends and family from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, prior to the service at Sandifer Funeral Home.
