William “Widgie” Blair

Mountain Rest – William Eulis “Widgie” Blair, 75, husband of Margarette June Queen Blair, passed away Sunday, February 7th, 2021 at his residence.

 

He was born in Oconee County, to the late Ulysses Nelson Blair and Anna Carver Thomas. William retired from Sandvik where he worked in quality control and he served in the United States Army. He was a member of West Union Baptist Church and attended Rocky Knoll Baptist Church and was a lifetime member of the Blue Ridge Masonic Lodge #92.

 

In addition to his wife, Margarette June Queen Blair of 54 years; he is survived by a daughter, Kristy Blair Billingsley (partner Terry Cobb) of Mountain Rest; two grandchildren, Wesley Billingsley (Leigh) of Clayton, Ga, Blake Billingsley (Emily) of West Union; two great-grandchildren, Ivy Billingsley and Weston Billingsley; bonus sons, Mark Compton (Tammy) of Westminster, Scott Billingsley (Carla) Clayton, Ga; brothers, Frank Stanley Blair (Carla) of Pendleton, and Kenneth Ronald Blair (Alice) of Seneca; and many other dear friends and extended family.

 

A public Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
