William Johnson
Anderson – William Junior Johnson, 71, husband of the late Eleanor “Ellie” Mae Blackwell Johnson, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Prisma Health – Baptist Easley Hospital.
Born in Anderson, South Carolina, William was the son of the late Herman Johnson and Vester Mae Maddox Johnson. William was a retired delivery driver and attended 1st Assembly Church of God of Honea Path. William enjoyed the outdoors; especially, camping and fishing.
William is survived by his children, Diane Banks of Toccoa, Jean Kirby of the home, Presley Johnson of Anderson, Wendi McAlister of Starr, Vesther Johnson of Liberty; brothers, Lewis Johnson of Anderson, Billy Johnson of Belton; sisters, Sylvia Campbell of Belton, Janie Heidelberg of Anderson, Betty Levy of Belton; 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, William is preceded in death by his brother, Don Johnson.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm, Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at Rocky Fork Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends and family from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, prior to the service, at Sandifer Funeral Home.
