William Eric Burrell

Walhalla, SC– William Eric Burrell, 50, of 8094 N. Highway 11, Walhalla, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2022, at his home.

A native of Oconee County, Mr. Burrell was the son of the late William Denver and Alice Rachel Donald Burrell. He was the owner and operator of Burrell’s Automotive on Highway 11 and of the Christian faith.

Known as “BLUESMAN” to many for his love of music he is also remembered as a fun-loving, generous, jack of many trades, an avid student of empirical knowledge. His true heart of gold and loving spirit flowed freely through his guitar in spontaneous serenades, when that special song rang from his voice, through his embrace of nature, in lively debate, and while enjoying the cleansing effect of a good campfire with cherished friends. It seemed that everyone he met became part of the fabric of his life that he wore with honor and care.

Following in the footsteps of his parents, Eric has left us to join all of his fallen family members and friends whom he treasured greatly. Behind he leaves the brightest star in his eyes, his beautiful daughter Whitley Linne Cleghorn as well as siblings, family, and friends…each and every person who has loved him as one of their own. All are sending up a wish for him to have a peaceful, painless, fantastic journey.

Rest easy Eric, spread your wings and fly. In our hearts we all know we will see you….innabit
