William Clay Bomely Sr.

 

Seneca, SC– William Clay Bomely, Sr., 81, husband of Emily Compton Bomely for 60 years, of Seneca, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at his home.

 

A native of Greenfield, MA, Mr. Bomely was the son of the late William Kenneth and Lillian Clay Bomely. He was a retired residential General Contractor and a United States Air Force Veteran who served in Vietnam. Mr. Bomely was awarded Builder of the Year in 1986 by the Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce and was a member of the Lions Club in Pikesville, MD and Socastee, SC. He was also a volunteer for Alaska State Parks, an avid reader, woodworker, and he loved his family dearly. Mr. Bomely was of the Methodist faith.

 

In addition to his wife, Mr. Bomely is survived by his daughters: CC Bates (Daron) and Sandy Bomely; sister: Carol Donald (Ray); grandchildren: Emilyann Bates and Griff Bates; niece: Janet Cyganek; and nephew: Kenny Donald.

 

In addition to his parents, Mr. Bomely was preceded in death by a son: William Clay Bomely, Jr.

 

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Marlow United Methodist Church in Marlow, NH.
