Why hearing Jared Nedal is important for safety

An event today of the Oconee Chamber of Commerce focused on Oconee’s Duke Energy nuclear plant and how safe the federal government helps keep the plant operation and the surrounding community.  This event, led by the chamber’s new executive director Dari McBride, featured Jared Nedal, senior resident inspector for the U-S Nuclear Regulatory Commission.  Nedal’s audience was small, but those who took part paid close attention to what the NRC official said about his agency’s role in Oconee County. A second chamber program by Nedal is scheduled 8 o’clock Tuesday morning September 7 at the Westminster Community Depot.
