Whitmire to meet Duncan

Walhalla’s state lawmaker, Bill Whitmire, is in hopes to meet a new colleague.  Whitmire, the District One member of the House of Representatives, is in line to receive a new colleague, Adam Duncan.  A political newcomer, Duncan scored an upset last month when he bested Seneca’s 29-year state lawmaker, Bill Sandifer, to capture the nomination for District Two.  To win outright, Duncan must win in November.  In the General Election, Republican Duncan faces no second party opposition, nor any announced write-in hopefuls.  Asked whether he can work with Duncan, Whitmire replied in the affirmative, saying he works well with anyone in Columbia.
