Westminster makes financial request of Oconee County

At a county committee meeting this week, the Westminster city administrator requested $500 thousand dollars to solve a couple of government office problems in his downtown. The money would go toward a combination new home for both City Hall and the next door county magistrate’s office. The request, according to county council and budget chairwoman Edda Cammick, comes at a time when the county is just starting its process to adopt a new budget for the year starting July 1.
