Westminster launches effort to eliminate eyesore buildings

Buildings and dwellings that have fallen into stages of disrepair in Westminster are being noted by city leaders, and they are determined to rid their city of the eyesores. And Mayor Brian Ramey says since word has gotten out, several property owners have voluntarily torn down their dilapidated structures. Others, however, can expect a visit from the city’s new code enforcement officer, Daniel Fletcher. During a special council meeting last week, Fletcher presented a list of dwellings deemed unfit for human habitation. Ramey says the city council decided to start their enforcement efforts against four of those properties.
