Weighing the impact locally of Supreme Court ruling

A U-S Supreme Court ruling from yesterday rejects a settlement that would have sent billions of dollars to treatment programs to help opioid victims.  It was a 5 to 4 decision that is seen to shield from future lawsuits the owners of Purdue Pharma, makers of the pain killer that has caused a public health crisis.  To gauge the effect that the ruling will have on local efforts to treat victims of the epidemic, we turned to Zack Smith, staff liaison for the Oconee Task Force on Opioids.  His comments are being aired today on 101.7/WGOG NEWS.
