Week after Thanksgiving will usher in Christmas parades

On the 1st day of December–this Sunday–the town of Salem will start the 2019 Christmas parade season when the town’s Christmas parade makes its way down Main Street.  Parade time in Salem this Sunday will be 4 o’clock.  The town’s Marti Jennings says it’s hoped by then everyone will have their full of Thanksgiving meals and will want to get into the Christmas swing in her town.  The first two weeks of December will see similar parades in five other locales across Oconee County–in Seneca, Monday, December 2; in Westminster, Thursday, December 5; in Walhalla, Saturday, December 7; in Fair Play, Saturday, December 14; and in West Union, Saturday, December 14.
