Weather change benefits Oconee

A change in the wind during the night apparently gave Oconee clearer visibility and fewer odors this morning from the continuous wildfires in three states.  Scott Krein of Oconee Emergency Services is far from overly pleased because, as he put it, the wind change simply means that visibility and smell are problems for other areas.  For Krein and other Oconee responders, it’s back to Pickens County today to continue to battle the Pinnacle Mountain fire.
