Wayne Richardson
Lincolnton, North Carolina – Wayne Henry Richardson, 76, husband of Patsy Crocker Richardson, passed away Friday, July 22nd, 2022 at Atrium Health Charlotte.
Born in Oconee County, Wayne was the son of the late Ernest Benson Richardson and Ruby Patterson Richardson. Wayne was an Oakway High School Graduate and later attended Gardner-Webb University. Wayne began his career as a surveyor with South Carolina Highway Department and later retired from Duke Power, where he worked as the supervisor of the maintenance department and was of the Protestant Faith.
Wayne is survived by his beloved wife, Patsy Crocker Richardson of Lincolnton, North Carolina; his sons, Steven Wayne Richardson, Jason Anthony Richardson (Jammie); a daughter, Angela Odom (Brian); sisters, Shirley Ann Keaton, Patsy Lynch; and six grandchildren, Wayne Thomas Richardson, Isaiah Richardson, Joseph Richardson, Klarissa Kleever, Allison Odom, and Madeline Rech (Nicholas).
In addition to his parents, Wayne is preceded in death by his siblings, Wallace Richardson, William Richardson, James Douglas Richardson, Stevie Richardson, Don Richardson, Mary Lou Foster, and Phillip Richardson.
A funeral service will be held at 2:30 pm, Saturday, July 30th, 2022 at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and family prior to the service from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm, Saturday, July 30th, 2022, at Sandifer Funeral Home.
