Water woes in Walhalla school neighborhood

Low pressure and poor quality are issues plaguing Walhalla water customers in the vicinity of James Brown Elementary School, and city leaders are of a mind to fix the problems.  On behalf of he and his neighbors, Muller Road resident Jason Burrell brought the problems to the attention last night of city council.  At least three water leaks have occurred in the area. So weak is the pressure that it’s difficult to run a proper shower at the Burrell home and the family and neighbors now drink bottled water.  Councilman David Underwood said he sympathizes with the customers and if he were they he would not be as patient. The council will ask its utilities superintendent to look into this.  Councilman Josh Holliday says he’d like to see cost estimates to fix the leaks and restore quality and pressure.
