Water district business on two meeting agendas

Business matters pertaining to the Pioneer Rural Water District are on the agendas of two meetings across Oconee County today.  The PRWD board meets at 3 o’clock this afternoon in its conference room at its Oakway headquarters.  An update will be given on the new water treatment plant.  At their meeting tonight, Westminster city council members are reserving time in executive session to consider a contract extension in which Pioneer would purchase water wholesale from the city.  A source tells 101.7/WGOG NEWS the extension would amount to one month only.
