Washington action to combat the opioid crisis

A committee in the U-S House goes to work tomorrow to combat the opioid crisis by marking up a total of 26 pieces of legislation. Mark up is a process in which lawmakers can debate, change or re-write bills. The mark up is scheduled tomorrow morning by the Energy and Commerce Committee, of which South Carolina Third District’s Jeff Duncan is a member. According to his office, Duncan will issue a statement following the committee’s actions.
