Walhallan takes matters into his own hands

Tired of driving over a bumpy and pothole-plagued section of Main Street, a Walhalla man went right to the top to seek action. The section of Main Street in question is that which runs west from Tugaloo Street to the Civil War cannon in the median. The Walhalla man, who asked not to be identified by name in this report, telephoned Ben Davis Jr. of the South Carolina DOT. A Greenwood resident, Davis represents Oconee County on the state DOT commission and serves as chairman. The Walhallan told 101.7/WGOG NEWS that Davis promised to look into the matter, but said proper patching might not be accomplished until warmer weather.
