Walhalla school loses heat, school day cancelled

The heat has failed at Walhalla’s James Brown Elementary School, and the district has cancelled classes there for today. It’s likely repairs won’t be made until later today. Meantime, the district requests parents who have already dropped off children to return to the school and collect them. Parents who are driving their children into the parking lot are being turned around, and school bus runs are being organized to transport other students back to their homes.
