Walhalla mayor addresses next election, in 2023

Whether Walhalla’s veteran mayor will offer for a new, four-year term two years from now is to be a decision Danny Edwards will make but not now.  Edwards says, “As far as another term, that’s a decision we’ll make at a later date, depending on how these next two years go.”  Some people who know the mayor have the impression that he is feeling that 12 years will be enough, but the mayor takes satisfaction in the city’s recent growth and he has liked working with good people.  “Looking at the last ten years,” the mayor said in a statement, I’m happy to say we re-opened the city pool, built a new water plant, and that our downtown is thriving.  Chicopee ball field restoration is important to so many of our citizens, and we are doing all of the work with donated funds!  That says a lot about our community.”
