Walhalla Main Street on the cusp of better, Ketterman believes

At the forefront of a new generation of downtown Walhalla investors, Jared Ketterman believes this is an important time for more good things to happen on Main Street.  Ketterman is an example of new businessmen who are taking up empty space on Main Street, having opened one new Main Street business in the past year and is near ready to open a second.  He told the Rotary Club today he believes Main Street is at the cusp of something better, and he’s spending part of his time trying to interest other businesses to locate.  Ketterman says Main Street would see more shoppers if it were home to a coffee shop, a bike shop, and more restaurants, especially what he called a destination restaurant.  Ketterman remodeled one empty business into Twenty Eight West, an outdoor  adventure business that sells paddle boards and other items.  And he predicts by the end of the year the second floor of his business will be turned into Walhalla’s first air bed and breakfast
