Vickey Gibson

Simpsonville– Vickey Lynn Turner Gibson, 67, wife of John Robert “Hoot” Gibson, passed away, Wednesday, July 27^th, 2022.

 

Born in El Paso, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Mildred Marcengill Turner.  Vickey was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family, sports, spoiling her grandchildren, and was a member of Sunnyside Freedom Baptist Church.

 

Vickey is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, John Robert “Hoot” Gibson; a son, Jason Gibson (Tara) of Simpsonville, SC; daughters, Rhonda Satterfield (Chadwick) of Westminster and Denee Gibson (Neal Mullins) of Abingdon, VA; five grandchildren, Austin Satterfield (Faith), Abbigail Satterfield, Jazmyne McCollum (Michael), Jalen Gibson and Terrance Gibson and one great grandchild, Caysen McCollum.  

 

In addition to her parents, Vickey was preceded in death by her brother, Billie Turner.

 

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am, Friday, July 29^th, 2022 at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Heritage Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Thursday, July 28^th, 2022 at Sandifer Funeral Home.
