Valuable Seneca policeman calls it a career

After 13 years of faithful and dedicated service to the Seneca Police Department, Lieutenant Brian Sheriff will retire today.  He served as the department’s events coordinator, accident re-constructionist and was over vehicle services.  Before coming to the police department he served many years with South Carolina Highway Patrol.  “Brian wore many hats and worked closely with other city departments as well, he will be missed greatly and I congratulate him and we wish him the best in the next chapter of his life,”Chief John Covington.   At the retirement luncheon today at the Shaver Complex Sheriff was also was named the Seneca Police Officer of the year.   The award was presented by Helen Westmoreland of the sheriff’s office on behalf of the Blue Ridge Electric Coop’s annual award program.
