Stolen utility trailer recovered

A theft late last week was partially solved when the Oconee Sheriff’s Office recovered a utility trailer on S. Walnut Street near Seneca. Evidence showed that at 7:19 Friday morning last week, a male backed up a Honda Passport to a self-storage business near Seneca, hooked up, and stole a utility trailer.  The theft took place at Greenleaf Self Storage, the Shiloh Road.  The trailer is valued at $1,800 and various tools are worth about $120 dollars.  The suspect Passport was described as a black, 90’s model with dark tinted windows.  The Honda Passport and the attached trailer turned right onto Shiloh Road toward Seneca.  Surveillance pictures obtained by an Oconee deputy reveal the driver as a white male.  The Honda Passport tag turned out to have been stolen in Pickens County.
