Upping the ante in the Tucker Hipps case

An additional pledge has raised to $75 thousand the reward money to solve the death of Clemson student Tucker Hipps.  Crime Stoppers of Oconee has announced an additional $25 thousand is available, after the chief executive officer of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity last Thursday reached out to Helen Westmoreland, coordinator of Oconee Crimestoppers.  Earlier, last week, a private donor pledged $50 thousand.  The death in 2014 of Hipps, a fraternity pledge, has never been officially been determined.  His body was found in Lake Hartwell water below the 93 bridge in Oconee County after he and others went on a pre-dawn run.  If you have information that can help solve the case, you are requested to call the sheriff’s office at 864-638-4111 to speak with Investigator Jimmy Dixon.  If you wish to remain anonymous, visit www.oconeecrimestoppers.com.
