Underwood renews challenge to utility customers

The chairman of the Walhalla utilities committee is hopeful for a showing of support tomorrow evening as the city council sits down to tackle the items of business for its November meeting.  Councilman David Underwood is ramping up his effort to lower the re-connection fee charged to customers who are delinquent in paying their monthly bill.  He’s calling again for water customers to show their support for a lower re-connection charge.  Knowing that seating capacity in the meeting room is limited, Underwood says he is going to spend the day tomorrow in front of City Hall to collect signatures for a petition to his colleagues.
