Two-way race, so far

A Friday afternoon entry into this year’s Oconee School Board contests.  Sawyer Gambrell has joined incumbent Denise McCormick to compete for the District Four seat.  At last check, Terry Swain remained unopposed for the District Five seat.  As yet, no one has offered in District Two. The office of the district superintendent accepts candidacies from Districts 2, 4, and 5 until the noon hour Thursday, August 15.
