Two-vehicle crash kills 25-year old Oconeean

A Walhalla city worker, on his way home from work, was killed in a late afternoon car accident near Seneca. Alex Braden Richardson was 25 years old. The accident involved two vehicles shortly after 4 o’clock on the Lawrence Bridge Road, not far from Richardson’s Bayshore Drive home. Coroner Karl Addis said it was a near head-on collision, and Richardson died at the scene of blunt force traumatic injuries. State trooper Justin Sutherland said Richardson was driving a car that went left of the center on the two-lane road and collided with a pickup driven by Tonya Stancell of Central. Forty-year old Stancell and two passengers in her vehicle were injured and taken to the Oconee hospital.
