Two jailed after fight in Utica

Two people were jailed by the Oconee Sheriff’s Office after deputies were sent to investigate a fight early Thursday morning on Gammell Street in the Utica Community. Arrest records reveal that one of the two arrested is a Seneca man wanted by the state of Alabama as an escaped fugitive. Patrick David Griffis of Gammell Street was charged breach of peace. The second person arrested, Alyssa Carlie Springs, was charged with public disorderly conduct. Deputies responded at 5:48 am and found two people on the porch of a Gammell Street home. They say Griffis created a loud disturbance and tried to run, but his attempt to flee ended in the middle of the street with him placed into custody.
