Two arrests made, deceased identified

Authorities say a Friendship Community, Seneca man was beaten to death with a blunt object at a Durham Brown Road home and the body dumped by the side of a road in rural northern Oconee County.  The homicide victim was identified yesterday as James Wayne Wilson, 71 years old; two people under arrest are Steven Cecil Wilson and Samantha Denise Larson, both of Durham Brown Road.  Described as an acquaintance of the two Wilsons, Larson is charged with murder and possession of methamphetamine.  Steven Cecil Wilson faces charges of methamphetamine possession and accessory after the fact of a felony. James Wayne Wilson’s body was found during the noon hour Monday, concealed and dumped down an embankment off the Wigington Pass.  Coroner Karl Addis estimates Wilson had been dead between five and 10 days, but an exact date of death may be established through further investigation by the Oconee Sheriff’s Office.  Forty-year old Larson was jailed first, followed by 59-year old Steven Cecil Wilson’s jailing a few hours later.  In the execution of a search warrant, according to investigators, a quantity of meth was found inside the Durham Brown Road home.
