Trump comment leads to party officer’s exit

A post by an officer of the Oconee Democratic Party has cost her the position she held with the local party.  The post by vice chair Mary Anne Grabarcyzk referred to the attempted Donald Trump assassination this month in Pennsylvania.  The Oconee Democratic Party issued the following response:  “This comment by Mary Anne Grabarcyzk does not represent the views or opinions of the Oconee County Democratic Party or our executive committee.  Ms. Grabarczyk has stepped down from her leadership position in the Oconee County Democratic Party.”  Matthew Durham, county council chairman, became aware of the comment and called on the county Democratic Party to act.
