Trail goes cold to catch break-in artist

A Georgia policeman admitted this week that the trail to catch whoever has been going up and down I-85 breaking into vehicles has gone cold.  But Daniel Carson of the Lavonia police says the investigation is not finished and that they are working with law enforcement in the Southeast to find their suspect.  Something like eight vehicles parked at night were broken into November 22 at Lavonia’s Econo-Lodge Motel.  That same night, according to Lake Hartwell Radio WLHR, the criminal broke into vehicles in Anderson, South Carolina–before returning to Georgia to continue his spree.  The police advise those who travel do not leave valuables in their vehicles if they’ve stop on the road for the night.
