Traffic violation and a wider narcotics investigation

Oconee Sheriff’s Office announces that the traffic violation of a car in Newry led to a wider investigation, and now both the driver and the car passenger have been charged with drug offenses.  The second person arrested, according to the sheriff’s office, was Brandy Diane Wright of the Long Creek Highway, Westminster, charged with trafficking in methamphetamine.  The arrest of 34-year old car passenger Wright on Thursday came after the sheriff’s office said items seized from the Ford Sedan were collected for analysis by a certified technician.  The traffic stop was reported July 19, 2018 on Newry’s W. Branch Avenue.
