Tony Moore

Westminster– William Anthony “Tony” Moore, 68, husband of Sara Owens Moore, passed away on Sunday, January 16th, 2022 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center at Braselton.

 

Tony was born in Oconee County and was the son of the late Horace and Pollie Stone Moore.

Tony was a self-made machinist, and was the founder and owner of M-1 Machine Shop. Tony was known as a Chevrolet man, who had a great love for drag racing and nascar racing, and his famous pickled peppers that he shared with all family and friends. But Tony’s greatest passion was the love he had for his family.

 

Tony is survived by his beloved wife, Sara Owens Moore of thirty-eight years; daughter, Kelly Moore Morehead and husband Brad of Westminster; special nieces, Faith Davis and husband Jeremy and Lauren Moore and husband Allen, and Rachel Bennett; brothers, Lewis Moore (Velma) of Liberty, Levi Moore (Sylvia) of Anderson; sister, Dovie Wood (LC) of Westminster, Anna Goodwine (late Ray) of Walhalla, Karen Dickson (late David) of Westminster, Daphne Murphree ( Jack) of Anderson; sister in law, Kathy Moore of Seneca.

 

In addition to his parents, Tony is preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Moore (late Nora), Alfred Moore, Lorene Fabiano (late Burt), Lucille Heffner (late Donald).

 

A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm, Thursday, January 20th, 2022 at Sandifer Funeral Home with burial to follow at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm, Thursday, January 20th, 2022 prior to the service at Sandifer Funeral Home.
