Tim Barron

Westminster – Marvin Timothy “Tim” Barron, 67, passed away on Saturday, July 8^th, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his loving family and friends.

 

Born in Oconee County, South Carolina, Tim was the son of the late Claude Marvin Barron and Margaret Smith Barron. Tim formerly worked in construction and was of the Baptist Faith.  Tim was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting.  In his leisure time, Tim loved to go riding, traveling, and junking with his sister & family. Tim also loved tinkering with his CB radio where he was known as “Bad Boy”.

 

Tim is survived by his fiancé, June Grogan; son, Kyle Barron (Melissa Smith) of Westminster; daughter, Halie Barron Williams (John) of Seneca; sister, Kim Barron Marcengill (Mike) of Westminster; grandchildren, Ella and Liam Williams; like a daughter, Misty Hardy (Blake) of Westminster; special nieces and nephews, Lacey and Trey Sandifer, Nick and Sophia Marcengill; special cousins, Danny and Kim Smith, and Becky Smith; and special friends, Pat Gibson and Travis and Helen Williams. 

 

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, July 11^th, 2023 at the Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel with a private family burial to take place at Heritage Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends and family 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Monday, July 10^th, 2023 at Sandifer Funeral Home.

 

The family would like to express a special thank you to the Prisma Health Hospice of the Foothills nurses, medical team and transport team for their loving care of Tim during his final days.
