Three new Oconee COVID-19 deaths

Three new Oconee County COVID-19 deaths have been recorded on one, 24-hour period.  According to the state health agency, these three bring to 221 total Oconee deaths from COVID, since the pandemic was declared early last year.  DHEC lists an additional nine Oconee deaths as probable deaths from the virus.  For the 24-hours that ended at 11:59 pm Monday, there were 298 new, confirmed cases of COVID across the state—four of them in Oconee County.  Statewide, 27 more people were added to the death toll.  Of 7,661 test results received, the new positivity:  6.3%.
