Thomas “Tommie” Franks

Seneca – Thomas “Tommie” Sherman Franks, 88, husband of the late Annette Gillespie Franks, passed away, Wednesday, September 9^th, 2020 at, his residence.

 

Born in Georgia, Tommie was the son of the late Thomas Bonner and Effie Gibson Franks. Tommie worked at Brocks Body Shop in Seneca as a car repairman and was a member of New Haven Baptist Church, who had a great passion for fishing and cutting grass.

 

Tommie is survived by son, Steve Franks of Seneca; daughter, Sherri F. Chandler and husband, John of Seneca; brother, Homer Franks of Bountyland; three great grandchildren.

 

In addition to his parents and wife, Tommie is preceded in death by his son, Ricky Franks; granddaughter, Monica Franks; sister, Mildred Worley; brothers, Dennis, Alfred, Doyle, Adger, and Artis Franks.   

 

The service will be held 2 pm, Friday, September 11^th, 2020 at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Oconee Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends, from 1pm till 2pm prior to the service at Sandifer Funeral Home.
