This year’s Black History Tea will go virtual

In a normal year, the auditorium in Seneca’s Family Life Institute is packed for the city’s official luncheon during Black History Month.  But, as the pandemic continues, this year’s Black History Tea, arranged by the Oconee NAACP, will be a virtual event 4 pm Sunday and available at https://clemson.zoom.us/j/2663610627

The annual program focuses on the role that NAACP has played in achieving freedom and justice.  This year’s program will include a panel discussion with Seneca leaders, moderated by Erica Wearing.  Panelists will include Mayor Alexander, Police Chief Bowling, City Administrator Moulder, and Councilman Rev. W-C Honeycutt Jr.
