The newest COVID-19 numbers in South Carolina

At their weekly briefing this afternoon, South Carolina DHEC is likely to address the growing numbers of COVID-19 cases.  They are being attributed to the Delta variant affecting un-vaccinated Americans.  According to ABC, only Maine and South Dakota have avoided an increase in cases over the last two weeks.  The latest South Carolina numbers reflect the count at the end of Sunday.  There were 158 new cases confirmed statewide, including two in Oconee.  There were no new deaths.  Of 3,926 test results received, the positivity was 5.4%.
